10 Easy Steps To Go Natural WITHOUT Cutting Your Hair Off! – Nik Scott

Everyday and I do mean Everyday, I get questions from people who are transitioning or thinking about transitioning to natural. The biggest question is do I have to big chop! We can’t deny that the thought of chopping off all of your hair freaks a lot of women out! I never would have imagined that I would have done it, but hey look at me now heeey! LOL!

Ok.. on a serious note, there is sooo much information out there when it comes to natural hair. So much information that it scares you off. I’m happy that Nik took the time to write a book, and put everything in one place. You get the knowledge with convenience!

My favorite thing about the book is she talks from experience ladies! She has been through all of this before. She was a long term transitioner who slowly trimmed her relaxed ends. In the end she was left with beautiful, long, healthy natural hair.

In this book she covers all ends, not only the physical but the mental. One of the toughest part of the journey can be the mental aspect. All of your friends hate it, you even hate it sometimes, it’s kinky, your hair won’t lay down, it’s just all around crazy! In order to be successful in your journey, you have to have your mind right!

Great bonuses: She covers blending natural and relaxed hair, all areas when it comes to maintaining the hair, she even gives you step by step tips on how to achieve beautiful styles during your transition with photos!

I don’t want to spoil the book for you guys, so I won’t give out too much information!

You won’t be disappointed!

She has an amazing Youtube channel, and now she has put all of that into one place for you guys!

It’s an easy read, and I hope you enjoy the book!

  1. I’m thinking aout buying for a friend of mine who is beyodn terrified of doing the big chopp like I did, lol. I’m sure she’d LOVE it! Thanks for the review :-)

  2. It seems quick, but really it was about average. I think the retention is what grabs everyone’s attention. I didn’t start retaining length until I started to utilize protective styling and also a big part of my regimen is moisturizing. I deep condition/hot oil treat my hair weekly. This keeps my hair soft and manageable. Product I used Cantu Shea Butter Leave In, extra virgin olive oil, Herbal Essence shampoo and Herbal Essence Conditioner. I hope this helps you in some way! :)
